WHAT IS THE MEANING BEHIND THE TITLE OF THE PROJECT?

Felt Everything is the idea that by feeling every emotion you are experiencing the totality of the human experience. “Felt Everything” is a badge of honor. You can feel it all and still remain and even thrive.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This project is for survivors and the family, friends, and partners of survivors. This is the collective story of transformation, resilience, and power. This project and stories are for everyone.

WHO CAN CONTRIBUTE?

Anyone who has experienced sexual assault and would like to share their own journey of healing and thriving.

WHAT IS THIS GUIDE?

There has never been a guide or resource that showcases the stories of people thriving after sexual assault. There has never been a space that celebrates the triumphs of survivors. Until now —let’s do it together.

THIS GUIDE IS:

  1. For survivors to feel seen and hear stories about healing.
  2. For survivors to share how they've overcome challenges.
  3. For survivors to facilitate their own healing as they collaborate on the project.
  4. For survivors to get perspective & inspiration on moving forward.
  5. To break media stereotypes.

WHAT IS THIS GUIDE NOT?

  1. Not something that can replace real medical or psychological help.
  2. Not a victim blaming or trauma dumping space

HOW LONG WILL SUBMISSIONS BE ACCEPTED?

We are accepting submissions tentatively until May 2024.

background on founder of felt everything

After a decade of exploring her own sexual assault trauma and how to heal, Tess Allen discovered the power of collaborative art and storytelling. It wasn’t until she started to write her own story and share her art with trusted sources and publicly that she found healing.

This project aims to discuss what happens after sexual assault. What does healing and ultimately thriving really look like from a survivor’s POV? And how can our collaborative story collectively heal more people.
